This delicate vine is a real rarity and, as a nightshade plant, is a distant relative of the tomato, which is not necessarily what you can tell at first glance. Depending on the amount of light at their location, their feathery leaves, which are covered in fine purple hairs, have a light green or a deep dark purple tint. When kept in a terrarium, it can climb up a back wall or side wall using its aerial roots; when kept in a room, it enjoys climbing aids.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a copy that corresponds to the product photos in size, shape and color.
• Growth type: climbing
• Origin: Peru, Ecuador, Brazil
• Other names: Solanum uleanum

Ben's care tips:

• Location/light requirements: partially shaded
• Substrate: well-drained, slightly acidic substrate
• Temperature: optimal at 18-28° C
• Watering: water only moderately every 7-10 days with low-lime, lukewarm water when the upper substrate layer is dry, but avoid waterlogging. Water less in winter
• Humidity: requires high humidity, spray regularly (leaves should be able to dry afterwards!) or use a humidifier or place in the terrarium
• Nutrient addition: fertilize moderately with liquid fertilizer approximately every 4 weeks during the growing season
• Can grow luxuriantly if cared for well, but can then be easily kept under control by pruning.
