Geosesarma are small land crabs that live in moist environments. We have put together a suitable plant set for these species. We have also put together a few tips for keeping them: Choose a terrarium that is large enough for the number of Geosesarma you want to keep. A terrarium that is at least 30x30x30 cm in size is recommended. Use a moist substrate such as fiber peat or white peat boards as the substrate. The substrate should be moist but not soaked. You can also find both items in our shop. Geosesarma need an area with shallow water in which they can stay. Place a shallow bowl or basin with clean water in the terrarium. Hiding places: Offer the Geosesarma various hiding places such as caves, tubes or sphagnum moss. These can be made from coconut shells or other suitable materials. We have various decorative items in the shop. Temperature and humidity: Geosesarma prefer high humidity and a temperature between 24-28°C. Use a hygrometer and a thermometer to monitor the conditions in the terrarium. If necessary, you can use a humidifier or spray bottle to increase the humidity. Food: Geosesarma are omnivores and feed on a variety of foods such as fish food, vegetables, fruit, insects and snails. Make sure you give them a balanced diet. Lighting: Geosesarma do not need special lighting, but indirect lighting from normal room lighting or daylight is sufficient. For this purpose, we offer lighting from Arcadia in the shop. The plant set consists of the following plants: Monstera siltepecana (a climbing species that likes to climb the back and side walls of the terrarium) Philodendron micans (a climbing philodendron for the back wall of the terrarium or side wall) Aglaonema silver (a plant for the floor that offers hiding places for the crabs) Ficus saggitata variegata (a ground cover or climbing plant that creeps up the back wall) Begonia silver (it can be planted on the floor in the terrarium and needs to be a little drier) Fittonia red (a classic ground cover that spreads out nicely and stays small) Depending on availability, the plants may differ from the picture and will be replaced by comparable plants.
