Masdevallia wendlandiana hat ihr Verbreitungsgebiet in Venezuela, Kolumbien, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivien und Brasilien. Es ist eine kleinbleibende Art die in der Natur epiphytisch auf Ästen und an Baumstämmen wächst. Sie wächst bei Temperaturen von 21 bis 26°C im Terrarium sehr gut, Luftfeuchtigkeit sollte bei 80 bis 90% liegen. Sie erhalten eine blühfähige Pflanze. Ideal für Regenwaldterrarien.
