Dicksonia antarctica wird auch als Taschenfarn bezeichnet. Es handelt sich um einen Baumfarn der sehr groß werden kann und einen schönen Stamm bekommt. Er kann bei Temperaturen bis -5°C kultiviert werden und wird in wärmeren Regionen auch im freien kultiviert. Der Farn sollte nie austrocknen, feucht gehalten werden und schattig kultiviert werden. Sie erhalten eine voll bewurzelte Pflanze, im Terrarium bleibt diese Art kleiner. Bei Baumfarnen handelt es sich um die ältesten Bäume dieser Erde, vor vielen Millionen von Jahren waren diese schon auf unserem Planeten.

In the terrarium it should be allowed to dry in the evening and not stand directly in the wet. A very beautiful species which is suitable for terrariums from 50cm. It can also be cultivated on the windowsill.
