This pretty little orchid delights its keepers with its long-lasting flowers, which bloom in shades of orange and red and can be produced all year round with good care. In the wild, it grows both as an epiphyte on trees and as a lithophyte on rocks at altitudes of 500 meters or more. It is not particularly complicated to cultivate, which makes it attractive for orchid beginners as well as for experienced collectors.
