Yellow-flowered orchid that has its distribution area in Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico. It grows there on trees on bare bark and is therefore best cultivated mounted. In the terrarium this species can be hung on the back and side wall. Ideal for rainforest terrariums. It is found in altitudes from 350 to 1300 meters and can be cultivated warm and humid. You will receive a flowering, mounted plant.

In the wild it grows as an epiphyte on trees in swamps and mountain forests in warm and humid climates, so this Oncidium should ideally be kept in a terrarium in an attached form. With proper care, which is not too complicated to apply, it produces charming little yellow-red flowers.

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Habitat/Light requirements: bright, but avoid direct sunlight.
- Substrate: tied up on xaxim
- Temperature: optimal at 20-26° C (day), 17-19° C (night)
- Watering: Spray regularly when attached, but allow plant to dry well. Use only lukewarm water with low lime content.
- Humidity: needs high humidity, use humidifier or place in terrarium
- Nutrient addition: Fertilize moderately every 2 weeks with diluted orchid fertilizer only during the growing season.
- Ensure good ventilation of the terrarium to avoid fungal infestation.
