In the wild it grows as an epiphyte on trees in swamps and mountain forests in warm and humid climates, so this Oncidium should ideally be kept in a terrarium in an attached form. With proper care, which is not too complicated to apply, it produces charming little yellow-red flowers.

- Habitat/Light requirements: bright, but avoid direct sunlight.
- Substrate: tied up on xaxim
- Temperature: optimal at 20-26° C (day), 17-19° C (night)
- Watering: Spray regularly when attached, but allow plant to dry well. Use only lukewarm water with low lime content.
- Humidity: needs high humidity, use humidifier or place in terrarium
- Nutrient addition: Fertilize moderately every 2 weeks with diluted orchid fertilizer only during the growing season.
- Ensure good ventilation of the terrarium to avoid fungal infestation.
