The delicately feathered fronds of this small Selaginella fern are strikingly accentuated, giving it a decorative look that makes it a jewel in any rainforest terrarium. As it has only ever been discovered in the wild on the Bocas del Toro archipelago in Panama, it is also a sought-after insider tip among collectors.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Location/light requirements: partial shade to light, but avoid direct sunlight
- Substrate: very loose, permeable substrate such as Xaxim litter or Ben's Premium Sphagnum moss
- Temperature: optimal at 22-28° C (day), 18-20° C (night)
- Watering: water moderately with low-lime, lukewarm water. Avoid complete drying out as well as waterlogging.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, place in terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: fertilize moderately every 4 weeks in spring/summer with diluted liquid fertilizer. Avoid over-fertilization at all costs.
- Avoid draughts.
- Repot after approx. 1-2 years when the substrate is sufficiently dense.
