Due to its rather compact growth, this pretty Alocasia is also ideal for smaller homes. The bluish-green leaves of this species have decorative veins that take on a purple hue as they mature and have earned the plant the nickname elephant's ear due to its characteristic shape.

- Location/light requirements: Partial shade or bright, indirect sunlight
- Substrate: Ben's Babyplant Soil, Special Soil, later Ben's Syngonium & Alocasia Soil
- Temperature: optimal at 18-22° C (day), 12-15° C (night)
- Watering: Keep soil moist, but avoid waterlogging, ideally water with rainwater that is not too cold and low in lime
- Humidity: requires high humidity, place in the bathroom or use a humidifier
- Addition of nutrients: in spring/summer every 3 weeks with organ. Liquid fertilizer
- Grows quickly, annual repotting in February/March is recommended
- Ensure high humidity, ideally spray the plant once a week. It is better to cut off any flowers on young plants, otherwise the plant can easily rot.
