With the unusual golden pattern of its leaves, this rare Anoectochilus is one of the jewel orchids whose leaves often attract more attention than its flowers. Nevertheless, its tiny, delicate white flowers also have an appealing appearance. It thrives in terrariums and bottle gardens, not least because of its humidity requirements.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Habitat/Light requirements: bright without direct sunlight.
- Substrate: orchid soil, well-drained houseplant soil
- Temperature: optimal at 22-26° C (day), 18° C (night), do not let cool down below 16°C
- Watering: keep substrate moist and water about every 7-10 days, when the top layer of substrate starts to dry, with lime-poor lukewarm water, but avoid waterlogging. Water less in winter.
- Humidity: needs high humidity, use humidifier or place in bathroom or terrarium.
- Nutrient addition: in spring/summer about every 8 weeks only moderately with liquid fertilizer.
- Pay attention to even watering, because the plant does not tolerate waterlogging neither a complete drying out.
