This attractive plant is a sought-after rarity among begonia collectors, as it is rarely found on the market. With its bright red leaf stems and pink dots on the velvety green leaves, it makes a very decorative impression. It is sensitive to waterlogging and should be kept a little drier in the terrarium than in indoor culture.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds to the product photos in terms of size, shape and coloring.
- Growth type: Upright
- Origin: Borneo
- Other names:  Trout begonia

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Location/light requirements: Partial shade, indirect sunlight
- Substrate: high-quality houseplant soil with humus content
- Temperature: optimal at 20-30°C, about 5°C cooler at night, but do not allow to cool below 15°C
- Watering: keep moist and water as soon as the top layer of substrate begins to dry, but avoid waterlogging, ideally water with rainwater that is not too cold and low in lime
- Humidity: requires high humidity, spray regularly (leaves should be able to dry well afterwards!) or place in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: in the growth phase approx. 1x per week with organ. Liquid fertilizer
- Repot when the pot is well rooted.
- Avoid heating air or draughts as well as waterlogging.
