Miniature orchid that grows in the wild on moss-covered tree trunks and branches on bare bark. In terrariums, paludariums, orchidariums or greenhouses, it grows very well tied up on Xaxim (tree fern). You will also receive a mounted plant. Also ideal for planting Terra Base, Biorb Air and Wabikusa.

Even among the miniature orchids, this platystele is a tiny plant and captivates with its enchanting, filigree flowers in deep brown-red with a bright orange flower lip. Ideally, it should be cultivated in a tied-up position, as it also grows as an epiphyte on trees in the wild.

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Location/light requirements: partial shade to shade
- Substrate: tied up on Xaxim or in mineral orchid substrate with good drainage
- Temperature: optimal at 16-18° C (day), 14-15° C (night)
- Watering: Spray when tied up (daily during the growth phase, otherwise every 2-3 days), but allow the plant to dry out well. Otherwise water once a week when the top layer of substrate becomes dry. Only use lukewarm water with a low lime content. Water less in winter.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place it in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: During the growth period, fertilize moderately approx. once a week with diluted orchid fertilizer. Less frequently in the fall and not at all in the winter
- To keep the moisture at its roots, the plant should ideally be tied up with some sphagnum moss.
