The shape of the narrow, pointed leaves of this petite tillandsia give it a bit of the appearance of a spruce branch, but with the appropriate amount of light in its location, the tips of the leaves turn striking shades of orange and red, which makes for a decorative look, especially in combination with its bright red flowers. Since it reaches a maximum length of 15cm, it is also ideally suited for keeping in smaller terrariums.
