This Racinaea is an unusual rarity, if only because it is rarely found in the wild. Similar to many bromeliads, its leaves grow in a rosette shape and form a water-collecting funnel. Due to its compact growth, it is also ideal for keeping in terrariums and enchants with a large, orange-red inflorescence from which delicate white flowers sprout. The fact that it is not too complicated to care for is an additional plus point.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- Location/light requirements: Partly shaded to bright, without direct midday sun
- Substrate: tied to Xaxim with sphagnum moss
- Temperature: optimal at 20-30° C
- Watering: spray 3-4 times a week with lukewarm, low-lime water. Water less in winter
- Humidity: requires high humidity, spray regularly (leaves should be allowed to dry afterwards!) or use a humidifier or place in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: fertilize moderately with diluted liquid fertilizer approx. every 2 weeks during the growing season
- There should always be a little low-lime water in the bromeliad's funnel.
