White peat slabs

White peat plates are ideal as a substrate in any humid terrarium or paludarium. These plates retain water very well and therefore provide an ideal substrate for plants. After about 2 to 3 weeks, spores of mosses and ferns germinate from the plates and these (mosses and ferns) then cover the surface. This turns them green. The white peat plates are about 20x10cm in size and about 2-3cm thick. Before they are placed in the terrarium, they should be soaked in water for 2 days. Ideal for frog terrariums and all rainforest terrariums, for example. The plates can vary in size as they are a natural product.
