Bulbophyllum which can be found in China and can be cultivated very well in terrariums. An orchid with very beautiful flowers, this species is also small and suitable for terrariums, wabikusa, biorbair and other small or large terrariums or for cultivation in conservatories and greenhouses. It can be cultivated warm and in high humidity.

Due to its purple-colored, fan-shaped flowers, this Bulbophyllum is also known as Venus' Fan Bulbophyllum. As it grows in the wild as an epiphyte on trees and mossy rocks, it feels particularly at home when kept as a mounted plant and is suitable for cultivation in a terrarium or orchid display case.

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Location/light requirements: shaded to semi-shaded
- Substrate: mounted with Ben's Premium Sphagnum moss on Xaxim, roots or branches
- Temperature: optimal at 20-28° C (day), 15-18° C (night)
- Watering: Spray when tied up (daily during the growth phase, otherwise every 2-3 days), but allow the plant to dry out well. Only use lukewarm water with a low lime content. Water less in winter.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: Fertilize moderately every 2 weeks with diluted orchid fertilizer during the growing season. Less frequently in fall, not at all in winter
- To keep the moisture at its roots, the plant should ideally be tied up with some sphagnum moss.
- Ensure that the terrarium is well ventilated to prevent fungal infestation.
