This Lepanthopsis can be cultivated in warm to temperate conditions, as it grows at altitudes of 700 to 1500m. In the wild, it grows on tree trunks and branches on bare bark. In terrariums, paludariums, orchidariums or greenhouses, it therefore grows very well tied up on Xaxim. You will also receive a mounted plant that blooms with beautiful small purple flowers.

By crossing the two species Lepanthopsis astrophora x Lepanthopsis hirtzii, breeders have created a very floriferous hybrid that can produce a lush abundance of enchanting flowers for months, which impress with their filigree star shape and violet color. In the wild, these species grow as epiphytes on trees and therefore feel most at home when tied up.

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Location/light requirements: partial shade to light, avoid direct sunlight
- Substrate: tied to Xaxim or in well-drained orchid substrate with good drainage
- Temperature: optimal at 17-20° C (day), 14-17° C (night)
- Watering: Spray regularly when tied up, but allow leaves to dry out well. Otherwise only water moderately when the substrate is thoroughly dry. Only use lukewarm water with a low lime content. Avoid waterlogging at all costs.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: in the winter months, fertilize only very moderately every 4 weeks with diluted orchid fertilizer.
- Use fans in the terrarium if necessary, as it is important for the leaves to dry well after spraying.
