Named after the river Zamora, this Lepanthes is a blazing beauty, as its 5 mm large flowers enchant with a deep red pattern on the yellow-glowing leaves, making them look almost like tiny flames. In Ecuador, it grows as an epiphyte on moss-covered tree trunks and branches, which is why it is best kept in its natural habitat.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds to the product photos in terms of size, shape and coloring.
- Growth type: Upright

Ben's tips on plant care:

- Location/light requirements: partial shade to shade
- Substrate: tied to Xaxim or in well-drained orchid substrate with good drainage
- Temperature: optimal at 17-20° C (day), 14-17° C (night)
- Watering: Spray regularly when tied up, but allow leaves to dry out well. Otherwise only water moderately when the substrate is thoroughly dry. Only use lukewarm water with a low lime content. Avoid waterlogging at all costs.
- Humidity: requires high humidity, use a humidifier or place in the terrarium
- Addition of nutrients: in the winter months, fertilize only very moderately every 3 weeks with diluted orchid fertilizer.
- The growing season and main flowering period is in the winter months, which is why the Lepanthes requires somewhat more care during this time.
