As this striking Maranta does not yet have an official ID, it is also known as "NoID", but its name "Cat Moustache" is much catchier due to the filigree, silvery leaf veins, which stand out enchantingly against the dark green to chestnut-dark leaves and are reminiscent of a cat's whiskers.

Ben's tips on plant care:
- We recommend keeping the cutting in moist sphagnum moss until it has formed roots. It can then be potted in the soil recommended in the substrate section.
- Location/light requirements: Partial shade
- Substrate: Ben's Syngonium & Alocasia Soil, special soil or good green plant soil with some humus and nutrients
- Temperature: optimal at 23-25° C (day), 20° C (night), do not allow to cool below 15° C
- Watering: water approx. once a week as soon as the top layer of substrate begins to dry, less frequently in winter, avoid waterlogging at all costs, ideally water with lukewarm, low-lime rainwater
- Humidity: requires high humidity, place in terrarium or bathroom or use humidifier
- Addition of nutrients: in spring/summer, fertilize moderately every 4-6 weeks with diluted organic fertilizer. Fertilize with liquid fertilizer
- Repot approximately every 2 years when the plant is suitably rooted. Be sure to cut away any dried or rotten roots.
- In winter, the plant can be kept slightly cooler (but not below 15° C), watered less frequently and does not require fertilizer during this time.
