Question about item

The wide silver stripe in the center of the leaves of this Maranta, from which the silvery shimmering leaf veins run symmetrically to the edge of the leaf, gives this plant not only its name, but also an elegant look. Since it is not complicated to care for and is relatively rare to find on the market, it is in much sought after among collectors.
The product photos show examples of the plant. You will receive a specimen that corresponds in size, shape and coloring to the product photos.

Ben's tips on plant care:

- We recommend keeping the cutting in moist Sphagnum moss until it has formed roots. It can then be potted into the soil recommended under the Substrate section.
- Habitat/Light Requirements: Partial shade
- Substrate: suitable soil for green plants with some amount of humus and nutrients.
- Temperature: optimal at 23-25° C (day), 20° C (night), do not let cool down below 15° C
- Watering: water about 1x per week, as soon as the top layer of substrate begins to dry, in winter less frequently, avoid waterlogging at all costs, ideally water with lukewarm, low-calcium rainwater
- Humidity: needs high humidity, place in terrarium or bath or use humidifier
- Nutrient addition: in spring/summer fertilize moderately every 4-6 weeks with diluted organic liquid fertilizer
- Repot approximately every 2 years when the soil is densely rooted. Be sure to cut away any dried or rotten roots.
- In winter, the plant can stand a little cooler (but not below 15 ° C), watered less often and does not need fertilizer during this period.
