Alocasia triangularis in 5cm pot. Partial shade not direct sun. Suitable for all living spaces. Beautiful alocasi species with unusual leaf.

This charming rarity is much sought after by aroid collectors. On the one hand because it is rarely found on the market, on the other hand because of its unusual triangular leaves with the wavy edges, which makes it strikingly different from other Alocasia species and makes it a decorative collector's item. When keeping it in a pot, it is important to ensure good drainage.

Ben's tips on plant care:

• Habitat/light requirements: semi-shade to light, but avoid direct sunlight.
• Substrate: peat-free potting soil, Ben's Syngonium & Alocasia Soil
• Temperature: optimal at 23-28° C (day), 16-20° C (night)
• Watering: keep moist and water as soon as the top layer of substrate starts to dry, but avoid waterlogging
• Humidity: needs high humidity, place in bathroom or use humidifier
• Nutrient addition: in spring/summer once a week with organic fertiliser. Fertilise moderately with organic liquid fertiliser.
• Repot when the soil is densely rooted.
• Avoid waterlogging at all costs, otherwise the roots of the plant may rot.
